My sister’s boyfriend has been looking for a job as a video game tester for about three months now. It is quite a difficult time for them as during this period, she is covering all of his bills and expenses, which I suspect she is starting to resent doing.
The problem with this industry is that so many people out there want to become video games testers that it is virtually impossible for inexperienced candidates to find paying contracts.
I was talking to him on the phone last night, and basically told him that he has to give up his dream of becoming a video game tester and start earning some money. He needs to find a real job and take care of his family, something he is not doing currently. Let’s see how it goes, something tells me that this is not the last I have heard from them both on this matter.
It may sound like I am not supporting him, but I just feel that it is time for him to grow up and face up to his responsibilities!
